Take on the wild side of Africa with a Safari through Tanzania, experience the great migration through the Serengeti, enjoy views of Mt. Kilimanjaro, explore the beauty of the Ngorongoro crater, photograph elephants in Tarangire, and take in the stunning scenery and flamingoes of Lake Natron. Wildlife abounds in all areas and our expert guides will give you your best shot of seeing the “Big 5”. End the trip with 5 days in the paradise of Zanzibar, where you can relax on its stunning white sand beaches or explore the ocean with some of the best snorkeling on the planet. Many different activities are available if you’re still feeling adventurous, or you can end the trip relaxing in the sun enjoying the best beaches in Africa.
Day 1 – Kilimanjaro airport to Arusha
After arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, transportation will be provided to Arusha where you will stay the night.
Day 2 – Arusha to Tarangire
Morning pickup from hotel by safari guide and trip to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire has a dense wildlife population but is most famous for its elephants.
Day 3 – Tarangire to Lake Natron
Depart the lodge to Lake Natron. The lake is famous for its flamingoes and is the largest breeding site in Africa. Beautiful scenery and the unique lake make for a stunning site to watch wildlife
Day 4 – Lake Natron to Serengeti
Departure to Serengeti National Park to view the great wildebeest migration and searching for the predators that hunt them.
Day 5 & 6 – Serengeti
Explore the famous and historical Serengeti with the expert guides to find the “Big 5”. Watch the greatest Wildebeest migration on earth and the action that comes with it.
Day 7 – Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Depart the Serengeti and depart to the Maasai Village, Boma, near the Ngorongoro Crater. Meet the Maasai tribe and learn about their culture and traditions before descending into Ngorongoro.
Day 8 – Ngorongoro crater to airport
Depart Ngorongoro to the Materuni Waterfalls. Hike up to the waterfalls and enjoy some time taking in the falls and the views. After transportation provided to the airport for the evening flight to Zanzibar
Day 9, 10, 11, 12, & 13 – Zanzibar Island
Rest and Relaxation on the miles and miles of pristine beaches of Zanzibar. Enjoy the blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Many activities and excursions are available at an additional cost (see bucket list add-ons below)
Day 14 – Depart
Transportation provided to Zanzibar airport for your flight home

- Hot air balloon ride through the Serengeti – $599 Per person
- Blue Safari in Zanzibar (Snorkel Tour) – $95 Per person
- Dolphin tour – $65 Per person
- City tour + Prison Island + Spice Tour – $75 Per person
Note – All extra excursions are able to be paid while in country. So no need to decide right away. For the Zanzibar activities (Blue Safari, Dolphin tour, City + Prison Island + Spice Tour) a minimum of 6 people will need to sign up for us to go. Important Notes!!
- Your incoming flight will need to be booked into Mt. Kilimanjaro Airport in Tanzania and your outbound flight will need to be booked out of the Zanzibar Airport.

- Full refunds issued if canceled by March 1st, 2025
- 50% refund issued if canceled by August 1st, 2025
- No refund issued if canceled after August 1st, 2025
- Refund policies and dates are due to prebooked accommodations, transportation, and safari group sizes that have been prearranged with IJA SAFARIS.
